The sun is staying out a little longer each day. There is mud everywhere as the ground thaws. This can only mean one thing. It is time to get the park ready for a great summer of riding. So i was wondering if there are going to be any upcoming build, clean, work days? Or if anyone has plans about getting some dirt on that jump line? I am ready to shape those babys up the moment we get some dirt. Also i have been keeping mysrlf busy on youtube watching bike videos getting pumped up when i had a thought. How about a ladder Drop or jump type thing whare you would land on the starting hill to the jump line. that would be so fun. just imagine cutting off the 220 then hitting a small kicker onto a ladder then jumping off onto the starting hill with perfect speed to fly down that jump line. wow. Anyways hope to see you all out there real soon

Ok it is on ridge dr and silver circle or something like that. Look up 801 trails on YouTube. There is a video or two pretty sweet. Or just go to the round about in alpine turn right then left a ways into a neighborhood and it is just up the road in a back yard. You can not miss it. And it is a legit city park. Built and maintaned by riders.

So i am going to go check out the jumps at the 801 trails in alpine. Maybe bring some ideas back to the bike park. I mean if you think about it our jump line is one of the first things you see at the park. also the main attraction. At least in my mind. So i want these babies to be perfect. So people come from miles just to ride the jumps. Then they go, hey lets go check out the trails. The alpine jumps have pros stopping by often. so that is what i want out here. But that means alot of work. those boys spend a half hour working on their jumps before they even ride. so i just hope when we get the jumps proper we have some kids like that who are willing to take pride in taking care of them. Sorry for the rant

My wife's necklace broke last night and she lost her cross pendant somewhere in the first 200 yards of the gravel trail past the stairs. Horrible place to lose something that color because it just blends in. Can someone let me know if they find it?

Just a quick note. After talking with some consulting riders from Park City we realized we needed to add some dirt to the jumps on the trail that have some speed going into them. So the city hauled some dirt out and placed some on the back of the third table top to make it a little safer. They also put a couple of rollers after the two that were there.
All this new dirt is a little soft so be carefull the first time through, or until it gets some water on it.

I am going to be honest here and tell you all that I have not touched the jumps since opening day. I wish I had. Been busy and lazy. But I hope to get back at it after July 14. That is when I will be back from vacation. But I will admit I love going up there to ride and having kids of all ages come up to me saying, hey justin we moved some rocks or we picked up some garbage. It is a wonderfull thing to see these kids trying to better their park. Maybe I am going off about it but I love it. Anyways thanks for the props

Rode the jumps this morning. I must say the shape is pretty good. Im getting higher instead of far. I guess if I went faster I could still over shoot the landing but the focus now is up. Good work J. Kom
When I was working at the park Thursday evening there were two kids who were intent on maintaining the jump line. Both were sweeping and smoothing. I think J. kom is forming an army!

That trail used to be my favorite, all of the natural drops and rock veins make it a fun ride for sure. I stopped riding it last spring because people were always shooting their guns near the bottom of the hill and it was getting kind of freaky. I think the city has recently posted no shooting signs in the area though, so I am anxious to get out there and do some trail maintenance. I would also like to re-route it in a few places to extend the ride a bit and add some wood features.
